I swear to lord, I didn't even see the cover when I ran from the first book to the second one.My gratitude for reading this series back to back was reaffirmed in this book.Yes there was angst as was expected from the end of the first book but this kind of angst I could deal with. There was no cheating. Thank god for that because I'm not someone who can read that kind of plot without my heart breaking into pieces.I loved the basic plot of this story. The whole Jamie being undercover as a coach, its a setup for a future plot I think but I loved it because it does suit him well and he IS wonderful at it. So, yes - suspense wise, crime wise I loved where they went with it.I am happy that I hated the tension between Irish and Whiskey because that means it was written that well. And that is always a great thing.This review may seem very minimalistic and non-informative but unfortunately that is one of my flaws. I can never pen down the right things to say about the perfect book/series. I was in a daze when I read through this book because I was just so happy with the words I was reading.I had shocking discovery a few days back that this is Layla's first writing stint. She is SO good at it, I'm in awe of her talent and so grateful to her for publishing her wonderful words.I actually loved this series so much that I went straight from one book to the other without stopping one second to even give the book some tags on goodreads.Wish I could give more than the 5 stars I'm allowed.All my love,sri
